Verdant Earth Technologies are the owners and operators of Redbank Power Station and subscribe to a policy of a safe and healthy work environment for its employees, contractors, and other stakeholders. Verdant Earth Technologies is committed to continuous improvement and excellence in the environmental performance of our operation with a target of “Net Zero” emissions.
Pollution Incident Response Management Plan
The Protection of the Environment Legislation Amendment Act 2011 (PELA) received assent on 16 November 2011, resulting in changes to the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 (POEO Act). The intent of the PELA is to improve the way pollution incidents are reported and managed. Provisions include a requirement for holders of Environmental Protection Licences (EPLs) to prepare, keep, test and implement a Pollution Incident Response Management Plan (PIRMP). The specific requirements for PIRMPs are set out in Part 5.7A of the POEO Act and the Protection of the Environment Operations (General) Regulation 2009 (POEO (G) Regulation).
Net-Zero Feedstock Policy
Verdant Earth Technologies believes in reducing the use of fossil fuels, cutting CO2 emissions and greening the planet to meet our climate targets. Our net-zero feedstock policy explains how we make this possible through our feedstock sourcing and operations.
Timber & Forestry Policy
Verdant Earth Technologies is committed to protecting the natural environment. We recognise our responsibility to the planet, and its people, to ensure our growing energy needs don’t cost the earth. Verdant believes we need to create a world of expanding forests, where we use wood as a renewable and sustainable resource, through a model that grows our forests, rewilds the planet & reduces the use of fossil fuels.
