Voltic DC

500MW–1GW+ AI Training Campus · Hunter Valley, NSW

Voltic DC is developing large-scale AI compute infrastructure on a 20-hectare brownfield site in the Hunter Valley — with 10 hectares of exclusive access — one of Australia's most strategically positioned locations for large-scale data centre development.

Voltic holds a cooperation agreement with Verdant Earth Technologies, providing access to shared infrastructure and land adjacent to the Redbank Power Station. This structural advantage reduces development complexity and accelerates project readiness — while enabling access to dispatchable renewable power as Redbank transitions to biomass generation.

The site benefits from direct access to multiple high-voltage transmission lines, an existing substation, Hunter River water supply, and fibre telecommunications — infrastructure advantages that are nearly impossible to replicate elsewhere in NSW.

Warkworth BESS

200MW Battery Energy Storage System · Hunter Valley, NSW

The Warkworth Battery Energy Storage System is a 200MW grid-scale battery project co-located on land adjacent to the Redbank Power Station. By leveraging the existing 132kV grid connection and shared substation infrastructure, the project avoids costly new grid works and significantly accelerates delivery timelines.

Battery storage is the backbone of Australia's renewable energy transition — absorbing excess solar and wind generation and discharging on demand when the grid needs it most. Warkworth BESS will provide fast-response frequency control ancillary services (FCAS), voltage support, and dispatchable peak capacity to the National Electricity Market.

Situated within a NSW Renewable Energy Zone, the project benefits from supportive government policy and proximity to growing renewable generation assets across the Hunter Valley.
